After this we do all the work, and you simply agree adjustments and amendments as required to create both a superior base Executive CV, as well as dedicated versions for each job application. The skill in Executive Recruitment and hence expedient employment is in maximising your skills, qualifications and experience, within which it is essential to communicate the focus and style of your delivery. Are you for instance a turn around accounting specialist or growth focused sales director; who may deliver through precise analysis of data and market opportunity, or through hiring and motivating the right team around you? The many aspects of you and your style mean that different executive opportunities may open or close as you wish. The output of this stage is your specialist Executive CV, personalised for each job application
Executive Approach and search
Executives rarely apply for jobs, and if they do making some simple errors at an early stage can blacklist you from an executive recruiters books sufficiently to extend your job search indefinitely. In this stage of the process, carried out consecutively with the Executive CV writing stage, we are seeking to get you on the inside of organisations and markets targeted in the first stage. Taking your target market, we provide an initial list of 50 target companies that could provide an ideal executive opportunity, together with key financial, company board, and market news data. Using this, we then coach you in creating inside champions from which you can assess both the suitability of the company from your view point, and what you could bring to their business. This will probably result in 20 employment opportunities, in which you have low or no job application competition.
In a parallel part of this process, we take the developed personal profile from part1, and place this in key online business networking locations to attract employers and executive headhunters to you. Around 80% of employment opportunities now are wholly or in part sourced from online searching using techniques such as Boolean search, which we will have optimised your profile for.
In the third parallel part of this process, we will coach you though awakening your personal network as an efficient army of personal job seeking advocates. Much as the desperate job seeker is rejected, the modern executive knows that networking is the key to opportunity, and supported individuals get employed quicker in better positions.
Executive Selection and Interview
The difference as every executive headhunter knows in executive recruitment, is not that they have to find a suitable person to fit a job specification. But that the executive that is eventually hired will not be doing precisely the same job as the one they were briefed for. Although results and track record count, social mix with the hiring organisations board and your ability to assess and communicate a business vision, are as key to being hired: Executives define their own business outcome, and hence eventual positions. Hence although for management positions it can be questionably useful to have prepared and coached answers to the 150 most asked interview questions, in the executive job interview the essential task is to communicate your knowledge of the organisation and its business need, and your vision of how it should be solved. This means that the coaching and preparedness our trained interviewer undertakes with you is associated as much with organisation research, as it is with the you and the how of question answering
Although negotiation is a defined part of our Executive CV service, actually negotiation of a suitable package of remuneration starts from day1 of your approach to that organisation. While in management positions the focus is on direct and take home pay, most often restricted eventually by company HR policy; in the executive negotiation it is key to focus on remuneration package. If that is the right job for you, and the company makes you an offer, then there is a outcome which is suitable to both parties. It is then just a question of what package and how long it takes. Let our trained negotiator walk you through simple techniques which maximise your package and mean that you don’t start day1 of your new executive position either under paid or personally targeted due to your excess pay rate.
Our main method of delivery of our Executive CV service is via the telephone, but on at least one occasion you will meet your dedicated Executive CV writer and coach in person, for at least 30minutes. We also like to keep in touch with our clients, so will once you are in your new executive position seek to talk and meet up at least annually to make sure you are settling in and on track for the goals and targets you had set when you first became a satisfied customer.
